CEO
Breeze

Michael Orshan has seen a few economic revolutions from the rise of distributed computing to high-speed telecommunications and now in energy. Today Michael is the VP of Sales for solar tracker vendor PVH in North America. He is also a Board Member for Breeze. This company has the IP to generate electricity releasing compressed air from idle oil and gas pipelines to turbines.

Michael's goal has always been to bring new technology to the public. Using early PCs he organized AT&T $6B of business with other carriers in the mid 80's. In the early 90's his team built the very first management system for the new high-speed communications. This enabled their client Fujitsu to move from $500M to $9B in three years. Later as head of Science and Technology appointed by Governor Richardson, President Clinton's Secretary of Energy, he pioneered some of the early solar laws and projects. After that Michael focused on solar tracking. He sold control systems to now #1 Nextracker, led sales for Array Technologies, led North American sales for #4 Arctech from Shanghai, and now leading North America for #3 PV Hardware. Now with Breeze he is steering the company to be the leader in long duration energy storage. Breeze is a member of the McKinsey Company's Long Duration Energy Storage Council.

Michael graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Accounting and Computer Science. After living mostly in the US east coast, he moved in 2001 to Taos, then Santa Fe, and now Albuquerque New Mexico. He likes the outdoors, skiing, and the absence of traffic.
