As variable renewable energy continues to grow, the demand for grid-scale storage will expand and the specifications for energy storage will change -- requiring larger installations that provide longer durations of storage. Evaluating and deploying correct technologies to meet the burgeoning need for storage at utility scale will be a key priority for energy providers going forward.

What are the costs, performance capabilities, and value of various grid-scale energy storage systems in real-world settings? What are the key technology options and deployment lessons learned to date?

The Utility-Scale Energy Storage Forum brings together key industry thought leaders, innovators and executive practitioners from across the U.S. to answer these questions and help utilities plan for expanded penetration of intermittent renewables on the grid.

Please note that due to unforseen logistical conflicts, the conference originally scheduled for April 2024 in Oakland has been postponed. Information on the new dates will be announced when available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
