Dr. Levran has over 39 years of executive management experience in renewable energy (solar and wind), UPS (uninterruptible power systems), utility monitoring systems, power and frequency conversion for commercial and military applications.
Currently, Dr. Levran is managing the wholly-owned subsidiary of Electrical Grid Monitoring (EGM) in the US. EGM developed an innovative, comprehensive, real-time monitoring system for utility distribution and transmission grids. EGM's system brings the following benefits for modernization of the grid: enhanced grid reliability and efficiency, improved resiliency, best integration of renewables, electric vehicle chargers and storage, cyber security at a lower O&M cost.
Dr. Levran also has over 20 years of experience in the solar industry: he established, managed, and grew the solar inverters business to become the second largest supplier in the world (Power-One). He managed the solar business of ABB and delivered the entire solar systems and solutions that included inverters, MV and HV transformers, substations, and SCADA systems. After ABB, Dr. Levran established and managed the solar business for SUMEC Group in the Americas for solar modules; and worked as a consultant for Singaporean Fund Entoria Energy, focusing on financial investment in solar power plants. Dr. Levran has excellent knowledge and connections in both the global solar business and the utility industry.
Dr. Levran joined EGM to bring modernization and digitization to the utility grids, and to personally help utilities successfully address new challenges.
