Silke Kirchner received her Ph.D. in Physics with a focus on Photonics at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany. She was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Rice University in Houston, Texas, and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California, where she was part of the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP) facilitating a Closed Carbon Cycle. Since 2018, Silke has been a Product Manager for Digital Solutions in the Automotive Industry. In 2023, she accepted the role of Product Manager for the American EVSE Product Portfolio within Webasto Charging Systems. Silke has taken an active part in several automotive standardization forums, such as the International Committee for Display Metrology (ICDM), the German Flat Panel Forum (DFF), CharIn, and the Open Charge Alliance (OCA).
